Michael J. McGivney to render financial aid to members and their families. The Order, now 1.9 million members strong, is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled, and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through religious, charitable, educational, and social works. About Fr. Joseph Geary Council Fr. Joseph Geary Council serves the parishes of St. Justin and St. Martin of Tours, and is part of the San Jose Chapter. Yearly council programs include an event for Catholic Charities Handicapables, support for People with Intellectual Disabilities (aka Annual Tootsie Roll Drive), organization of the Pro-life Mass of Reparation, and participation in the Walk for Life West Coast. The council periodically provides both council and parish socials (e.g. Coffee and Doughnuts, Pancake Breakfasts). Council members are encouraged to suggest new events for the council.
